Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 19, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Discord User Lookup ("we," "us," or "our") processes information when you use our website and services (collectively, the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable data protection legislation.

2. Data Controller

For the purposes of applicable data protection law, the operator of this website acts as the data controller. If you have any questions regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, you may contact us via the information provided on this website.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We designed our Service with privacy as a core principle. We do not:

  • Log, store, or retain any Discord User IDs you search for
  • Record your search queries or lookup history
  • Create user accounts or profiles
  • Use cookies for tracking or analytics purposes
  • Collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or IP addresses in any persistent manner
  • Sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes
  • Build user profiles or engage in behavioral tracking

4. Data Processing

When you perform a lookup, the Discord User ID you submit is transmitted to our server solely for the purpose of querying the Discord API in real time. This data is processed transiently in memory and is not written to any database, log file, or persistent storage medium. Once the API response is returned to your browser, no record of the request is retained on our infrastructure.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

To the extent that any transient processing of data constitutes "processing of personal data" under the GDPR, our legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest. The legitimate interest pursued is the provision of the Service as requested by the user. Given that no data is stored or retained, the impact on data subjects' rights and freedoms is minimal.

6. Bot Verification (Cloudflare Turnstile)

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our Service from automated abuse. Cloudflare Turnstile may process certain technical data (such as browser characteristics) to verify that you are a human visitor. This processing is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store any personal data from Cloudflare Turnstile beyond the verification token.

7. Third-Party Services

Our Service queries the Discord API to retrieve publicly available profile information. This information is displayed to you in real time and is not cached or stored by us. Discord's own privacy practices are governed by Discord's Privacy Policy.

8. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under applicable data protection law:

  • Right of access — the right to request copies of your personal data
  • Right to rectification — the right to request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — the right to request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to restrict processing — the right to request restriction of processing
  • Right to data portability — the right to receive your data in a structured format
  • Right to object — the right to object to processing of your personal data

As we do not collect, store, or retain any personal data, these rights are effectively satisfied by design. There is no personal data held by us to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to.

9. Data Retention

We do not retain any personal data. All data processing is transient and occurs exclusively in volatile memory for the duration of your request. No data persists beyond the completion of an individual API request.

10. International Data Transfers

As we do not store personal data, there are no international transfers of personal data to disclose. Transient processing may occur on servers located outside your jurisdiction, but no data is retained after the request is fulfilled.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Privacy Policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
